MAGNIFICENT TERINA.
Bruttium. Terina. - c. 400-370 BC. Nomos, 7.67g (2h). Obv: ΤΕΡΙΝΑΙΩΝ Head of nymph Terina right, wearing earrings. Rx: Winged Nike seated left on cippus, wearing chiton and himation, holding a bird on her right hand, left hand resting on the cippus. Regling 80 (same obverse die MM). Holloway & Jenkins 84 (same obverse die). SNG ANS 852 (same dies). HN Italy 2629. High relief obverse. A few light scratches on the reverse. Nicely toned. Good VF

This reverse die is new to the two die studies of Terina's coinage. Despite its minor role in history as far our sources reveal, Terina was a major mint in the early fourth century
