249-251 AD. Antoninianus, 3.32g (7h). Rome, 249 AD. Obv: IMP TRAIANVS DECIVS AVG Bust laureate, draped, cuirassed right. Rx: GENIVS EXERCITVS ILLVRICIANI Turreted Genius standing left holding patera and cornucopia, standard behind him. RIC 4b (S). Cohen 63 (2 Fr.). Scarce with this obverse legend: 14 specimens in Dorchester hoard. Purchased from Kay Coins, 20 March 1965.
