Rx: VICTORIA AVG Victory standing left holding wreath and palm, star in left field. RIC 6 (R3). Paris 1267. Cohen 6 (200 Fr.). Bland, Coinage of Vabalathus, Num. Notes
According to the Egyptian papyri, Vabalathus' revolt against Aurelian began sometime after April 17, 272 and had already been suppressed by June 24, 272: see M. Price in Numismatic. Chronicle 1973. The rarity of the antoniniani and Egyptian tetradrachms of the revolt suggests that it was very brief, probably lasting no more than a couple of weeks
